📸We had a BLAST with Carmen & Chris during their engagement session at Pine Grove Furnace State Park!
🌿 We kicked things off in a magical wooded area, surrounded by nature's beauty and a charming little creek. The creek was a massive highlight of the session. And guess what? We didn't stop there! We couldn't resist the temptation of the sparkling beach lake, so we jumped in and had an absolute SPLASH!
💕 Carmen & Chris brought out the kid in all of us as we frolicked in the water, capturing some of the most candid and joyous moments of their journey together. Their laughter and love were simply infectious! 😄
How they Met + The Proposal
At the onset of Covid, we met, strangely enough, over Instagram when Carmen responded to a story Chris posted with a beer koozie that had a long slogan on it, a quote from The Simpsons regarding Moe's stupid ugly face ("I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and... I like to kiss my own butt.").
From Carmen: I just wanted to go see Country Bear Jamboree one last time before we left Magic Kingdom. It was my birthday and our final day of our trip. Chris wanted to have some photos taken on Main St. in front of the castle by a Disney photographer. We missed the fireworks in the background by about 10 seconds. We had a picture or two taken, and then Chris said "Alright, I'm gonna do this thing." I thought I'd be so embarrassed with all those people around, but I wasn't. I was just locked into the moment. I cried.
Favorite Part of the Engagement + Some Advice
Anticipating the wedding. Planning is tough. It has had its ups and downs. So many details. Soaking up extra time together when we aren't planning or working has been great.
Be sure to take breaks while planning. Do something together to clear your heads. Get a wedding planner (thank you Kate Thomas!). Feel free to invite family and friends to help support you, but know your boundaries. It's your day!
